The sequel to Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel (because that’s definitely how we identify the film) has been officially titled, removing the steel but doubling down on the men.
Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice throws the tradition of The Dark Knight and Man of Steel away – not just naming one superhero, but two, as well as hinting at the endless franchise superhero team they are kick starting. Not since Captain America: The First Avenger has a movie title been used to sell a movie besides the movie it’s titling.
While we only have one still and the teasing frankenlogo, its already time to stop talking about the previously untitled “Batman V Superman” film (its been titled, move on!) and start looking ahead to the inevitable Justice League movie that will be at least a year or two after this movie comes out two years from now – whatever it’s called, it’s been so long I’ve forgotten.
In other news several DVD releases have been confirmed with proposed retitling, including:
- Amazing Spider-Man 2: Sinister Three Out of Sinister Six Ain’t Bad,
- Captain America: Black Widow Does Slightly More, Vote With Your Wallet To Greenlight Her Film, and
- Godzilla: Mothra Easter Egg Within, In Case You Thought, God-Forbid, We Were Just Thinking of Making One Satisfying Movie
